Huddersfield vs. Wigan (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Wigan Athletic will be bidding to make it successive wins in the Championship when they travel to an out-of-form Huddersfield Town side on Tuesday night.

The visitors recorded a 2-1 victory over Luton Town in the league last time out, while Huddersfield will enter the contest off the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Blackpool.

Wigan have shared the spoils in four of their seven Championship matches this season, and we can see another stalemate here. Huddersfield are better than what they have shown this term, and a tight contest on Tuesday evening could end with the points being shared.

Hull City vs. Stoke (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Hull City and Stoke City are scheduled to continue their stuttering Championship campaigns in Tuesday evening's battle at the MKM Stadium.

Shota Arveladze's men lost 2-0 to Sheffield United in their most recent encounter, while the Potters suffered a defeat of their own to Reading.

We say: Hull City 1-1 Stoke City

With both sides short of confidence and resources amid their respective injury crises, it should be difficult for either team to assert their dominance after an unexpected rest period.

While Hull have been conceding goal after goal in recent weeks, Neil's side are prone to the odd defensive lapse, and we can only envisage this contest ending level.

Middlesbrough vs. Cardiff (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Middlesbrough mark their return to Championship action after a weekend away with the visit of Cardiff City to the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday evening.

After the death of Queen Elizabeth II led to games up and down the country being postponed, the two clubs have had ample time to recover from their previous endeavours in the second tier.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-0 Cardiff City

Even if the introduction of Robinson from the first whistle can give Cardiff a bit more bite on the attacking front, their away-day struggles are showing no signs of letting up soon.

With Middlesbrough also proving an incredibly tough nut to crack at home, we can only picture Wilder's side picking up where they left off with another three points.

Swansea, meanwhile, recorded only their second league win of the season last time out to move up to 19th.

Sheff Utd are not generally as impressive away from home, and they have several key players missing through injury at present.

Preston North End take on Burnley in a Lancashire derby on Tuesday, with both teams looking to return to winning ways.

The visitors have made a decent start to life under Vincent Kompany's management, sitting fifth in the Championship table with 13 points from eight games.

We can envisage another low-scoring match involving Preston, with the visitors likely to edge this Lancashire derby.

Kompany has made an impressive impact in a short amount of time at Burnley, and he will hope to record a clean sheet on Tuesday.
