Phillips sends Klopp message
Nat Phillips insists his "main aspiration" is playing regularly in the Premier League, adding further doubt to his Liverpool future.
The Reds centre-back, 25, will return to Anfield this summer after completing a six-month loan spell at Bournemouth. During his time on the south coast, the Cherries keep eight clean sheets in his 17 Championship outings to help Scott Parker's side win automatic promotion to the top flight.
Phillips still has three years remaining on his deal at Anfield but is determined to play regularly rather than languish on the bench or outside the matchday squad. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp accepted his desire to leave the club in December and is expected to allow the defender to pursue a permanent exit during showdown transfer talks.

Man City transfer news
Erling Haaland remained tight lipped about all things Manchester City when quizzed ahead of Norway's Nations League clash with Serbia on Thursday.

Does the Etihad beckon?
Elsewhere, Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount is another big name linked with City, with agents making best use of the Premier League champions' stated intention to add two more names to their roster to hasten new contracts.
