Tottenham injury news: Bergwijn and Sessegnon latest following Arsenal defeat

Spurs are currently on a run of five matches without a win in normal time with the latest result arguably being the most worrying of all.

A disheartening 3-1 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon left supporters feeling deflated and the challenge for Nuno Espirito Santo now will be to rebuild the confidence in the first team squad.

For that he'll need his best players on board, but who will be available?

Here's the latest injury news ahead of Thursday's clash.

Steven Bergwijn

The forward suffered a fresh injury setback during the Europa Conference League clash with Rennes earlier this month.

Bergwijn had only just returned to action after suffering a knock while on international duty with the Netherlands, but according to the boss, he's still some way from a return.

Speaking ahead of the Arsenal clash, Nuno Espirito Santo said: "I think I explained the injury he has is very painful so he has to settle down.

"He has not totally stopped. He is doing some fitness, some upper body. For now, he is not available."

Ryan Sessegnon

The 21-year-old also suffered an injury blow while away with the England under-21s at the start of September.

Unfortunately for Sessegnon, he looks almost certain to spend a while on the sidelines.

Speaking earlier this month, Nuno Espirito Santo said: "We don't know [when he will return]."
