The 24-year-old was signed by former boss Mauricio Pochettino in 2019 for a club-record fee worth around £60m, however the midfielder has yet to live up to his hefty price tag.
Now in his third season at Spurs, Ndombele is still finding it difficult to cement himself as a first-team regular, however Lloris feels his French compatriot needs consistent game time and believes he is ready to step up for the Lilywhites.
"Tanguy needs games, games, games, repetition of games. [He needs to] try to feel this responsibility because he's not a young player anymore. And a player with his talent and quality must feel responsibility inside the changing room and the team," Lloris told the Evening Standard.
"Honestly, I think he's ready, his mind is ready. He's here with a smile, he's connected with the team and that's the most important thing.
"Obviously, it's the manager's decision to play him or not play him, but I can feel his energy is back. And, for sure, he's going to perform. I have no doubt about that."
Ndombele, who has recently been linked with a move to Roma and a reunion with Jose Mourinho, has played 79 times across all competitions for Tottenham, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.
