Thursday's Chinese Super League predictions including Beijing Guoan vs. Meizhou Hakka

Sh. Shenhua vs. Hebei (Thursday, 10.30am)

Unbeaten in each of their last eight outings, Shanghai Shenhua welcome Hebei to the Jinzhou Stadium in round nine of the Chinese Super League on Thursday.

Kim Jong-boo's side will head into the game seeking to get one over the hosts, having failed to win any of the last five meetings between the teams since July 2019.

We say: Shanghai Shenhua 2-0 Hebei

Shanghai Shenhua will fancy their chances of returning to winning ways in this one as they face a floundering Hebei side who have lost seven of their opening eight games. Jingui's side are unbeaten at home since last November and we predict that they will come away with all three points on Thursday.

Beijing Guoan vs. Meizhou Hakka (Thursday, 10.30am)

Separated by just two points and one place in the top half of the Super League standings, Beijing Guoan and Meizhou Hakka square off at the Meixian Tsang Hin-chi Stadium on Thursday.

The Imperial Guards are unbeaten in their last seven outings, while the visitors will seek a third win on the trot for the first time since November.

We say: Beijing Guoan 1-1 Meizhou Hakka

Meizhou Hakka appears to have settled into the big leagues and will head into this matchup with renewed confidence. While they face a spirited Beijing Guoan side who are unbeaten in seven consecutive outings, we predict they will do just enough to leave with a share of the spoils.

Cangzhou vs. Shenzhen (Thursday, 12.30pm)

Cangzhou Mighty Lions play host to Shenzhen on at the Wuhua County Olympic Sports Centre in round nine of the 2022 Chinese Super League season.

The teams will head into Thursday's encounter looking to secure a much-needed pick-me-up having both endured a torrid run of results lately.

We say: Cangzhou Mighty Lions 0-1 Shenzhen

Cangzhou are the joint-lowest scorers on home turf this season and we can see them coming up short at the attacking end once again. We are also tipping the away side to scrape a narrow win at the end of the 90 minutes.

Henan vs. Guangzhou City (Thursday, 12.30pm)

Two sides in highly contrasting forms go head-to-head at the Wuyuan River Stadium on Thursday as Henan Songshan Longmen face off against Guangzhou City.

The hosts are aiming to pick up a third victory in four outings, while the away side set out to avoid a ninth defeat on the bounce.

We say: Henan Songshan Longmen 3-1 Guangzhou City

Guangzhou City have failed to get going so far and it is hard to see them coming away with anything from this one. We expect Henan to cruise to all three points in what should be a largely one-sided affair.
