Luis Suarez's time with Nacional is coming to an end, as his contract with the Uruguayan club expires in November.
The striker is expected to expand his horizons when looking for a new destination and one possible landing spot is Major League Soccer.
The league has increased its visibility in recent years, with countless big names joining.
The Los Angeles Galaxy have been mentioned as a possible landing spot for Suarez in the past, but it seems that may no longer be the case.
Chicharito takes Suarez's place
The Western Conference side already have Javier Hernandez, who is coming off his best season with the club, in attack.
Sources say that the Mexican's contract features a clause that would automatically extend his contract if he scores 12 or more goals.
Having scored 18 league goals this season, it looks as though the former Real Madrid and Manchester United striker will stay in Los Angeles for at least one more season.
That puts Suarez's reported move to the Galaxy in doubt, as unless the team move away from the 4-3-3 formation they currently play, there may not be room for the Uruguayan.
While certainly not sort of suitors, it looks as though Suarez will have to consider another club if he is to land in MLS.
