The new manager has been getting to grips with life at the club and working with his squad.
Things are already paying dividends with a 4-0 victory over Liverpool last week and new signings are already heading through the door.
The Red Devils were in Thailand and are now in Australia and usually with these types of tours there are plenty of photo opportunities.
Players would travel to the sights, meet fans and things would generally be a little more relaxed.
According to ESPN, Ten Hag has not been keen on players to participate in this sort of activity.
In Bangkok and Melbourne, the squad has been ferried from airport to hotel and to training with not much else in between.
There was even the suggestion that players could be filmed on the set of Neighbours, but it was a no from Ten Hag.
The hit TV soap was popular in Britain and recently ceased production after 37 years on the air, making stars of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.
Its final episode will be shown at the end of July.
Ten Hag has been keeping his media interviews to a minimum, no more than 10 minutes after pre-season games, opting to spend as many extra minutes possible on work on the team.
His message to the 120-strong touring party has been that they are here to train and nothing should get in the way of that.
Ten Hag wants to get his team as fit as possible and Scott McTominay gave an insight into the work the Man United players were doing.
"Everyone's so, so happy with the new coach in terms of the detail and attention to the work that we're doing, and everyone's so fit now," McTominay said of Ten Hag.
"And we can get fitter, I can get fitter, the whole team can, which is obviously a benefit for the future as well."
