Sunday's Serie A predictions including Roma vs. Fiorentina

Frosinone vs. Torino (Sunday, 11.30am)

A fearsome prospect on home turf, Frosinone tackle Torino at Stadio Benito Stirpe in Serie A's Sunday lunchtime kickoff.

Five wins from seven at their headquarters have seen the Canarini establish themselves in mid-table following promotion; meanwhile, Toro sit one point above their hosts following Monday's win against Atalanta BC.

We say: Frosinone 1-2 Torino

Although they tend to excel at home, Frosinone have also conceded quite a few goals at Stadio Stirpe, and in-form Torino could take advantage of any lapses. Toro have been missing a reliable front line to finish off their approach play, but if Zapata and Sanabria can stay fit, they should push even further up the table.

Monza vs. Genoa (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Separated by three points in the Serie A standings, mid-table rivals Monza and Genoa meet on Sunday afternoon.

Though the hosts - who lost at home to Juventus last time out - have picked up just two points from their last three games, they still sit above their visitors in the pecking order.

We say: Monza 1-0 Genoa

Both sides average around one goal per game, so it may be a tight contest, with Monza capitalising on home advantage and their visitors' weakness when on the road. The hosts have also had more than a week to prepare, while Genoa undertook a midweek Coppa Italia trip down to Rome.

Salernitana vs. Bologna (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Rock-bottom Salernitana seek just their second Serie A win of the season on Sunday evening, as they host a Bologna side aiming to crack the top six.

The teams convene at Stadio Arechi with the hosts having lost again last weekend, while their Emilian visitors are still riding high in the standings despite letting two points slip in Lecce.

We say: Salernitana 1-1 Bologna

All three of Salernitana's wins in league and cup this season have come at Stadio Arechi, while Bologna are yet to taste success on the road. Despite the disparity between them in the table, a fourth straight draw in this fixture could therefore be on the cards.

Roma vs. Fiorentina (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Just one point above their visitors before Sunday's clash at Stadio Olimpico, in-form Roma welcome Fiorentina to the Italian capital this weekend.

While the Giallorossi have won three of their last four Serie A matches, their Tuscan counterparts bounced back from a below-par November to start the new month with back-to-back victories.

We say: Roma 2-1 Fiorentina

Fiorentina do not always travel well, while Roma are a formidable force at home. The Giallorossi should therefore expect to continue their upturn in fortunes, as their squad depth is now quite impressive; helping them stay strong into the latter stages.
