Sunday's La Liga predictions including Valencia vs. Real Madrid

Mallorca vs. Villarreal (Sunday, 1.00pm)

Still in search of their first win of the La Liga season, Villarreal travel to Mallorca on Sunday in their fourth outing of the campaign.

The Yellow Submarine have drawn all three of their league games so far, while their hosts have adjusted to life back in the top flight in impressive fashion, collecting seven points from their opening four matches.

We say: Mallorca 0-2 Villarreal

Despite Mallorca's strong start to the season and Villarreal's struggles to get going, we ultimately see the visitors having the quality to get over the line on Sunday.

The returns of Torres and Parejo will likely make a big difference for Emery's men, and if Moreno can find his form in the final third, they will be a dangerous proposition with Danjuma firing on the other flank.

Real Sociedad vs. Sevilla (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Real Sociedad and Sevilla will square off at the Reale Arena on Sunday, having both made impressive starts to the La Liga campaign.

The hosts bounced back from an opening defeat to record three straight victories in the Spanish top flight, while their visitors arrive with seven points from their first three outings.

We say: Real Sociedad 1-1 Sevilla

With two strong sides in impressive form squaring off, this could certainly go either way, and we cannot quite pick a winner on Sunday.

The two teams boast quality all over the pitch, and, while Sevilla might have the slightly superior squad depth, La Real's home advantage should level the playing field.

Real Betis vs. Espanyol (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Real Betis will be looking to record their third straight victory in all competitions when they continue their 2021-22 La Liga campaign at home to Espanyol on Sunday night.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are currently ninth in La Liga, having picked up five points from their opening four matches, while Espanyol occupy 15th spot with two points from their four fixtures.

We say: Real Betis 2-1 Espanyol

The quick turnaround following Thursday's Europa League clash makes this a tricky game for Betis, and Espanyol are more than capable of picking up a positive result. Pellegrini's side have been impressive in their last two matches, though, and we are tipping another victory for the Seville outfit here.

Valencia vs. Real Madrid (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Real Madrid will be looking to continue their encouraging start to the 2021-22 campaign when they travel to Mestalla on Sunday night to face an in-form Valencia.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are currently top of the table with 10 points from four matches, while Valencia occupy second with the same amount of points from their opening four fixtures.

We say: Valencia 1-1 Real Madrid

Real Madrid have made an impressive start to the season, but Valencia's form cannot be overlooked, and the fact that they have had longer to prepare for this match will hand them an advantage. A 1-0 win either way would not be a surprise, but we can see the two teams sharing the spoils here.
