Ange Postecoglou's men appeared to be cruising to victory at Leicester City on Monday night, only for the newly-promoted outfit to strike back in the second half to earn a 1-1 draw.
Jamie Vardy proved to be the thorn in Tottenham's side again at the King Power, although the result was overshadowed by a nasty head injury to one of Postecoglou's fulcrums.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Everton, who were humbled 3-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion on matchday one.
Rodrigo Bentancur
Status: Out
Type of injury: Head
Possible return date: September 1 (vs. Newcastle United)
Monday's match was stopped for several minutes after Rodrigo Bentancur came off worse in a clash of heads with Leicester winger Abdul Fatawu - the Spurs midfielder appeared to have been knocked out cold in the incident but was eventually able to sit up before being stretchered off.
Postecoglou confirmed afterwards that the South American was "conscious and communicating", but even if he has not sustained anything more serious than a mild concussion, there is no chance he will be able to play this weekend.
Pedro Porro
Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Foot/ankle
Possible return date: August 24 (vs. Everton)
Pedro Porro opened Spurs' Premier League account for the season with a deft header/shoulder into the far corner, but the right-back was visibly playing through the pain of an apparent foot problem before being taken off at the end. It is still unclear how severe Porro's injury is, but he has seemingly emerged as a doubt for the weekend.
Fraser Forster
Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: August 24 (vs. Everton)
Backup goalkeeper Fraser Forster has now spent over half a year out with a foot problem that was only supposed to keep him out for around two months at first, but he is training with the group and might be available here.
TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST
Postecoglou banned Yves Bissouma for the Leicester draw after the midfielder filmed himself inhaling laughing gas, but the Mali international is expected to return on Saturday, especially with Bentancur all but guaranteed to miss out.
