Current boss Conte is facing the sack following his dramatic outburst after their 3-3 draw against Southampton.
The Italian is also unpopular with many senior Spurs players, and his tenure in north London could therefore be coming to an end.

Bayern's latest decision means that Tuchel will be preparing for a return to football after his sacking from Chelsea in September.
It has been reported that it was a 'question of time' as to when his appointment will be announced with the German recently living in Munich.
He spent over a year-and-a-half at the Blues, winning the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup. However, Tuchel was sacked by co-owner Todd Boehly in September.
