Four points separate Genoa and Empoli in the Serie A table heading into Saturday's gameweek 14 encounter at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

The league returnees are only four points clear of the 18th-placed visitors and hope for a victory to give themselves some breathing space.

Struggling in Serie A but thriving in Europe, Lazio return to domestic duty on Saturday, when they host improving Cagliari at Stadio Olimpico.

A run of one point from three league matches has seen the Rome club slip down the standings, but Champions League victory over Celtic took them into the last 16 of UEFA's top club competition.

We say: Lazio 2-1 Cagliari

The pressure is on Lazio to produce, as they face promoted opponents and have plenty of catching up to do in Serie A. Last term's runners-up are also without half of their first-choice back four, but Cagliari can be caught out defensively and will surely suffer the same fate as Celtic.

AC Milan vs. Frosinone (Saturday, 7.45pm)

AC Milan's malaise deepened in midweek, when they were beaten in Europe, and having also fallen off the pace in Serie A's Scudetto race they now seek maximum points against Frosinone on Saturday.

As the teams convene at San Siro, Milan have won just two of their last eight matches; meanwhile, their promoted visitors moved into the top half of the table with a dramatic victory over Genoa.

We say: AC Milan 2-1 Frosinone

Hit by their latest raft of injuries, and amid some woeful form, Milan could be vulnerable to a shock loss on Saturday. However, Frosinone's fortunes nosedive away from the home comforts of Stadio Stirpe, so the Rossoneri should have enough depth to take maximum points against dangerous opponents.
