Liverpool fans are desperate to see Mohamed Salah sign a new contract at the club with an important transfer window coming up while the Egypt international has hinted over his future

Mohamed Salah has left no doubt for Liverpool fans about what his future holds after his latest Instagram update.

The Reds superstar has had contract troubles throughout the season with all parties desperate to find a solution. Salah will see his deal expire at the end of next season putting his situation in a precarious position.

The forward wants to be among the best-paid players in the Premier League after several seasons of dominating the English top flight. This campaign alone the 29-year-old has been in sensational form, scoring 20 and assisting 10 in the league.

Salah has remained coy during the negotiations when asked for comment, always insisting that he will be tight-lipped throughout the process. He said: "I can't be selfish and talk about my situation. We are in the most important period for the team so I have to just talk about the team, focus on what is coming with the team and that is the most important thing. That is all I can say. Hopefully, we are going to be more optimistic and see what is going to happen."

However, Liverpool fans believe he has let his Instagram do the talking with his latest update that has left supporters convinced that he is prepared to pen a new deal imminently. In celebrating his PFA Fans' Player of the Month award from February, there was a telling message behind his head.

While posing with his trophy, a statement read behind him: "Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool." Unsurprisingly, Liverpool fans have taken it as a sure hint that he will put pen to paper over a new deal very soon. One fan said: "I choose to believe he chose this background himself. Because he's gunna sign da ting." While a second wrote: "You don't post a photo like that and not know exactly what you're doing."

And this fan said: "Had a heart attack when I saw this and thought he had signed a new contract." Which led to another replying: "I think he might have tbh. That sign is far too on the nose lol."

A fifth said: "Salah's too smart, he wouldn't willingly stand under that sign if he wasn't gonna stay. Just an opinion obviously, based on his personality we see." This supporter simply said with the eyes emoji: "Interesting choice of background, sir."

And all eyes will certainly be on Salah this Sunday when Liverpool travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City in their blockbuster Premier League clash. With just a point separating the two teams, the winner might well consider themselves favourites to go on and lift the trophy.
