Reece James tells Jason Tindall to 'sit down' as pair clash over Joelinton card

Chelsea captain Reece James was involved in a row with Newcastle coach Jason Tindall as the clash got spicy going into half-time.

As the game entered added time, Magpies star Joelinton was booked after catching James with his forearm.

VAR didn't intervene in the matter with the decision remaining a yellow card, despite fans, and even Evening Standard reporter Nizaar Kinsella branding the foul a 'clothesline'.

Toon assistant Tindall then appeared to take issue with James' reaction to being floored.

And Daily Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath has claimed the England international told his rival to 'sit down' as he complained.

The altercation came at the end of a to-and-fro 45 minutes of football, which ended 1-1.

Newcastle had gone 1-0 up after just 13 minutes when Lewis Miley perfectly teed up Alexander Isak, who was played onside by Marc Cucurella.
