Real Madrid's £92m problem offers Premier League clubs chance to sign six stars

There's no denying that Real Madrid aren't quite the force that they once were, and a number of high profile exits hasn't helped that.

However, Los Blancos are certainly on the rise once more, and it may only be a matter of months before we see Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe head for the Spanish capital.

Madrid are certainly heading into a new era under Carlo Ancelotti, but although they have already offloaded a number of stars, they could be set for another squad overhaul.

Ancelotti may be forced into a period of transition, as many stars with high salaries could be put up for sale to prepare for the future, with many in the final year of their contract.

Madrid were already rocked with the exits of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane this summer, and although they won La Liga during the 2019/20 season, Los Blancos have never really been the same since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, as they prepare for Mbappe, and potentially Erling Haaland, Madrid are reportedly keen on offloading several stars who are taking up valuable space within the squad that is not economically justified.

Spanish publication AS claim that Isco, Marcelo, Eden Hazard, Gareth Bale, Luka Jovic and Jesus Vallejo could be offloaded to free up €108million (£92m) of salary if they were to depart, and many of them are in the final years of their Madrid contracts.

If they can be offloaded, not only can they free up millions to be reinvested heavily in the likes of Mbappe and Haaland should they tempt the Norwegian, but Madrid could also receive transfer fees for the stars that otherwise could walk away from the club for nothing.

Isco has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, and Hazard has been linked with a January return to England with Newcastle one of the sides said to be extremely interested, but the whole league is on red alert due to a potential mass sale at Madrid.

Although Bale has created some excellent memories at Madrid, the latter stages of his Los Blancos career have been clouded with controversy and negativity, and the pair are likely to see the back of one another.

The Welshman spent last year on loan at Tottenham and could fancy a return following the arrival of Antonio Conte, who has a reputation for signing experienced players.

Jovic and Vallejo are less of a priority for Madrid, as the pair aren't the highest earners amongst the squad, and Los Blancos are happy to be patient with Jovic who they are determined to make a profit on.

Marcelo's contract also expires in the summer, and according to Transfermarkt the Brazilian only has a market value of £4.5m.

It's certainly expected to be a heavy transition period at Madrid in the coming windows, and we could expect to see a number of stars arrive in the Premier League.
