Real Madrid fans love what Bellingham did for Joselu as they hail his leadership

Los Blancos won 4-2 against their Italian opponents in the Champions League on Wednesday night to make it five Group C victories in a row.

And once again, Bellingham was the star of the show - chipping in with a goal and an assist to create more club history.

After scoring the most goals [14] in their first 15 outings for Real, he has now become the first Madrid star to find the back of the net in each of his opening four European Cup games.

But it was a classy act following his assist for Joselu that sent social media into meltdown.

An outside of the boot pass gave Joselu the easy task of tapping home from close range in added time, with the 33-year-old making amends for three big chances missed prior to his strike.

It was huge relief for the ex-Newcastle and Stoke man, who proceeded to apologise to the fans in attendance at the Bernabeu.

But Bellingham made sure he took the applause from the supporters, as he pushed his teammate towards the fans so he could receive a standing ovation on his own.

The heartwarming moment delighted the club's fans, as one X user posted: "This is why Bellingham is special and [a] future captain."

Another messaged: "He's a born leader and born winner."

A third added: "Top boy, a captain in the making already, what a player!"

One then commented: "His leadership & character at the age of 20 is insane. Worth more than any of his goals. Great player, but his other qualities really define him. What a guy."

Meanwhile this fan simply stated: "Future captain."

Speaking of the centre-forward following the match, Bellingham said: "It's a big family, we're a massive team.

"And I think if one of us is having a hard time, it's important that we get behind him and help - make him feel loved.

"I tried to look for him when I had the ball on the corner of the box, and thankfully I found him and he did what he normally does.

"It's a shame that he missed a few chances before, but that's football.

"We keep supporting our teammates and we keep pushing each other until the end."
