Looking to preserve their unbeaten start to the 2022 Argentine Primera Division, Gimnasia welcome Racing Club to the Estadio Juan Carmelo Zerillo on Monday.

On the other hand, Racing Club make the journey to La Plata seeking to make it back to back victories having returned to winning ways last time out.

Match preview

Gimnasia had to settle for a point away from home for a second straight game following a 1-1 draw against Platense on Friday at the Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez.

Nestor Gorosito's men opened the scoring in the 83rd minute thanks to Lautaro Chavez but Juan Esquivel struck five minutes later to restore parity.

As a result, Los Triperos have dropped down to seventh place in the league table but remain just two points shy of Estudiantes at the top of the standings.

Lying in store next is the challenge of an opposing outfit who have only tasted defeat once in the last eight meetings between the teams since 2017.

However, Monday's hosts are on a four-game winning run on home turf and will back themselves to emerge triumphant come the sound of the final whistle.

Racing club snapped a two-match losing streak with a 2-0 victory over Velez Sarsfield at the Estadio Juan Domingo Peron on Friday,.

Goals in either half from Matias Rojas and Fabricio Dominguez secured a well-deserved three points for Fernando Gago's men.

La Academia currently sit two places and one point ahead of their next opponents heading into Monday's clash which has all the makings of an absorbing affair.

With just one win recorded from their most recent five outings on the road, the visitors set out to turn things around away from home with a positive result in this one.
