Premier League target Viktor Gyokeres gives final answer on January transfer

The Swede has scored 28 goals and assisted seven in 23 games for club and country this season.

This has made him one of the hottest commodities in football right now and is said to have a release clause of just £63million.

Man United have since been linked following Amorim's arrival, while Chelsea and Arsenal are long-term admirers.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen about the transfer rumours surrounding him he said: "It's not something I think about, nor something I give any importance to. It's just rumours, nothing concrete.

"Of course I want to finish the season at Sporting, I'm enjoying my time there. I don't feel stressed about making a change in the future. We'll see when the time comes.

Addressing a possible move to Man United, Gyokeres said: "He [Ruben Amorim] probably already has strikers there... It's very sad that he left [Sporting], but of course we understand the decision."

Whether he is telling the truth or not remains a mystery but a return to England may be on the cards.

"It meant a lot, of course," said Gyokeres, speaking about the win. "It was a Champions League game and the coach's last at home. It was good to end on a good note. It was also good for me to score three goals.
