Premier League 2022-23 fixtures in full as all 20 clubs learn their schedules

mirror.co.uk, 16 June 2022, 08:00
All 20 Premier League teams have discovered their schedules for the coming season with some stand-out ties on the opening day, including Manchester United opening up the Erik ten Hag era against Brighton at Old Trafford

Erik ten Hag will kick off his Manchester United tenure at Old Trafford, when the Red Devils entertain Brighton and Hove Albion on the opening weekend of the 2022-23 Premier League season.

The Dutchman will take charge of his first competitive game on Sunday August 7, in a 2pm kickoff with the clash having been selected for TV coverage on Sky Sports. It will be followed by the champions, Manchester City, who head to the London Stadium for a tricky opening test against West Ham as Pep Guardiola seeks a fifth league title in six seasons.

The season gets underway on Friday night at Selhurst Park, with Crystal Palace hosting Arsenal in an 8pm kickoff. The first early Saturday fixture sees newly-promoted Fulham, having romped to the Championship title last term, host Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool at Craven Cottage.

In the opening 3pm kickoffs, Bournemouth host Aston Villa, Leeds face Wolves at Elland Road, Nottingham Forest head north to face Newcastle United while both Tottenham and Leicester have home matches, against Southampton and Brentford respectively.

Everton vs Chelsea will be the opening 5.30pm kickoff of the campaign at Goodison Park.

The standout fixture from the second weekend sees Antonio Conte's Tottenham head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, while Manchester United head to Brentford and newly-promoted Forest meet West Ham, as the City Ground hosts its first Premier League game in over 20 years.

Last season's top two do battle for the first time at Anfield on October 15; the return comes at the Etihad on April 1.

England boss Gareth Southgate has got his wish with none of the so-called 'Big Six' meeting one another in the final round of matches before the World Cup in Qatar. That weekend, November 12, sees Liverpool host Southampton, Manchester City meet Brentford at the Etihad, Chelsea travel to Newcastle, Spurs entertain Leeds, Arsenal head to Wolves and Fulham take on Manchester United.

When the teams return to domestic action on Boxing Day, City head to Elland Road to face Leeds while Liverpool take on Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa at Villa Park. A full slate of New Year's Eve fixtures includes Spurs vs Aston Villa, Liverpool vs Leicester and Wolves vs Manchester United.
