Pogba's extravagance: Manchester United offered him 350,000 euros a week and he rejected them from a Rolls-Royce

The last few seasons have not been easy for Paul Pogba. A lack of goals, a lot of injuries, and a level of performances far below the big money spent by Manchester United to sign him from Juventus.

Now, Pogba has left Manchester United and is expected to return to the Old Lady of Italian football.

The Frenchman will unveil his documentary, The Pogmentary, on Friday, and early signs suggest that it will not disappoint.

It has come to light in the documentary that Manchester United twice offered him a new contract. Both times, he was offered more than his existing weekly salary, which would have made him one of the world's highest-paid players.

It's thought that he would have earned roughly 340,000 euros a week - around 16 million euros per year.

Pogba, however, retorted to his former agent, Mino Raiola, from his Rolls-Royce. As is seen in a preview of the documentary and reported by The Athletic, Pogba says: "How can you tell a guy that you want him very much and offer him nothing?"

Manchester United tried several times to keep him at Old Trafford, but they have known for some time that he would not stay.

Juventus is expected to be his next step. Reports in Italy say that he'll sign in July, but the documentary will confirm it in advance.

Pogba will be paid significantly less at Juventus than he was offered at Manchester United.

The documentary devotes a significant portion of its time on his Old Trafford departure, as well as his conversations with his agent, Raiola.

One of those conversations was as follows, according to The Athletic:

Raiola: "Paul, you are in a situation that is very particular. You have no idea. You have no idea."

Pogba: "Did Manchester [United] make a second offer?"

Raiola: "Yes. They absolutely want you to stay. For me, the offer doesn't reflect that. I told them, 'If you want him to stay, don't make that offer.' I will make them understand that if they really want you to stay and want to build a project around you, this time they have to act differently and put the money on the table."

Pogba: "They are lying.... How can you tell a player that you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? I've never seen that."

Pogba promises to "show Manchester [United] that they made a mistake by waiting to give him a contract" in one of the documentary's last scenes.
