June is coming to an end, and with it, the contracts of several players with their current clubs.

Some have already sorted their futures, while others still don't know where they will be playing next season. With the World Cup starting in November, securing regular football is imperative for those heading to Qatar.

Starting on Thursday, clubs will be able to sign players on free transfers. While that means they won't have to pay a transfer fee, in many cases big signing bonuses are handed to the player.

Given the economic struggles of many clubs due to the pandemic, free transfers may be more appealing to some. From top-level names to solid options off the bench, here's a look at some of the players that will be out of contract on July 1.

Isco leaves Real Madrid

After joining Real Madrid as a promising youngster at the age of 21, the Spaniard leaves after nine seasons in which he won every title possible. Although he isn't always the most consistent of players, teams like Sevilla have shown interest in his services.

Luis Suarez leaves Atletico Madrid as a legend

After Barcelona decided to move on from him, Suarez rediscovered his best form at Atletico. Two seasons and a league title later, the Uruguayan will go to a club in order to best prepare for the World Cup. River Plate are said to be in the mix for the striker.

The uncertain future of Ousmane Dembele

One of the bigger names on the market. Barcelona have already stated they won't improve their contract offer, meaning the ball is now in the court of the Frenchman. He currently has a value of 30 million euros according to Transfermarkt after a strong end to the season.

Pogba leaves Manchester United and returns to Juventus

Six years after leaving Juventus for Manchester United, the Frenchman is heading back to Turin. The Italian giants are getting a player they sold for 105 million euros on a free transfer, and who still has a lot of football left in him.

Di Maria might head in the same direction

Seven seasons after joining Paris Saint-Germain, Di Maria's time in France is all but certain to end. Like Pogba, Juventus could be his next club in what would be his first adventure in Serie A.

Dybala won't be reunited with Pogba

Kessie is set to sign for Barcelona

The Ivorian midfielder will leave AC Milan, where he won the Scudetto last season, in order to join the Catalan side, who are currently unable to officially sign him. They will have to improve their financial situation in order to secure the midfielder's services.

Christensen is in the same situation

The Danish centre-back, who has spent the last five seasons at Chelsea, is in exactly the same situation as Kessie. His chances to join Xavi's team are very good, but until Barcelona's financial situation improves, he will not be able to be registered.
