Well, two days into Italy's version of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, it looks like Ally McCoist's latter prediction about Paul Gascoigne stands a chance of coming true.
Gazza has made a brilliant start to the reality show, which kicked off on Monday. Frankly, we expected nothing less.
Before even entering L'Isola dei Famosi (Island of the Famous), Gazza reminded fans of his comic genius even when he doesn't mean to be with his broken Italian leaving presenter Ilary Blasi rather confused and viewers in hysterics
Having spent three years in Italy when he played for Lazio (1992-95), the 53-year-old made an effort to brush up on his Italian but ended up giving quite a strange response when asked what he was looking forward to on the show.
Gazza replied by repeatedly saying: "Serpente (snakes)."
Undeterred, Paul added in Italian: "Fishing good me, very good me. Hands fish my, team hungry me. Confidence, first day, better speak, soon."
He added: "I'm here for a laugh and the experience," before finishing off in English: "I'll see you all on the f******g island."
And onto the show, the Tottenham, Rangers and England legend continued to show why he's not just loved in England but in Italy too as he waltzed onto the 'island' doing a hilarious jig while sporting pink shorts and a rather garish black and white shirt.
Gazza is loving life on Italy's version of I'm a Celebrity
