Mohamed Salah reveals game-changing advice he received from ex-Arsenal manager

The Liverpool forward asked the legendary manager a question after meeting him at the training ground.

Recalling his interaction with the former Arsenal boss, Salah told the Reds' media channels: "He was at Melwood, and I asked him, 'What's the difference between a good player and a really good player?'"

He revealed that Wenger told him: "The very, very good player is always focused on the game.

"Even if he doesn't have the momentum, he stays in the game until the last minute or until the whistle."

Meanwhile, Salah added: "Some games, I don't have momentum, I don't have the game. But I'm always focused. I always find the moment."

The 32-year-old has been in stunning form for Liverpool so far this season.

He has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in just 17 appearances across all competitions.

Those numbers have taken his overall tally for the club to 221 goals and 99 assists in 366 matches since signing in 2017.

The current campaign could be his last at Anfield, though, with his future currently uncertain.

Salah's contract, which he penned in 2022, expires next summer, with a new deal yet to be agreed.

He will be 33 by the time his contract runs out at the end of June next year.

Fans were left worried they could be running out of chances to see the Egyptian following their win over Brighton earlier this month.

Salah shared a cryptic social media post after scoring the winner, writing: "Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there's only 1 champion in the end.

"That's what we want. Thank you for your support last night. No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like."

The former Chelsea man could still smash multiple records before the end of the season, though.

He is within touching distance of breaking the Premier League record for the amount of times a player has scored and assisted in the same match.

Meanwhile, Salah is also now eighth on the league's all-time scorers list, just 22 goals behind fourth-placed Andy Cole.
