The former Liverpool and Real Madrid star was renowned for his terrifying pace in the early years of his career.

Owen's demonic speed often left defenders in the dust, including an iconic goal for England at the age of 18 at the 1998 World Cup against Argentina.
However, talkSPORT's very own Agbonlahor was no slowpoke and could give the very best a run for their money - literally.
In fact, the ex-striker was denoted as one of the quickest players in Premier League history.

And when put to Owen if he could beat the former Aston Villa star in a foot race, the 2001 Ballon d'Or winner admitted he might have met his match - over 100 metres at least.
Speaking to aceodds.com, he said: "Well, if I'm honest, I would take myself against anybody in a sprint race, if it was over 20, 30, 40 metres.
"If you're talking 100 metres, then I'm sure lots of people, including Gabby, probably would have beaten me.

"People's long legs when they get into their top gear, then I wasn't the fastest player around.
"But over sprint, over football distances, as I say, the 10, 20, 30 type of metres, I would have raced anybody in my eyes.
"So yes and no. 1-1, let's say, for me and Gabby."

While both had extensive careers in the Premier League, Owen pips Agbonlahor to the post when it comes to goals scored.
Owen played for the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and even Manchester United for a stint where he racked up 150 goals in total - the 10th most in history.

Agbonlahor, on the other hand, spent his entire career at Villa Park where he is a legend.
But he racked up less than half of what Owen scored, netting 74 times across 13 years playing in claret and blue.
