Scott McTominay should have left Manchester United, 100 per cent.
So many United fans after Bayern Munich were saying, 'We miss Fred, we shouldn't have sold Fred', but the contrast is Erik ten Hag said to Fred, 'You're not part of my plans'.
And Fred wanted to go and play - ambitious.
Erik ten Hag said to Scott McTominay, 'You're not part of my plans', and Scott McTominay decided he'd like to stay at Manchester United.
And I think what we saw against Bayern and what we saw against Brighton is a player who is not good enough, and is now for some reason, not motivated either.

Sane reveals what Tuchel said about Man United's tactics in Bayern Munich team talk
To come on for 25 minutes and not be tracking back is appalling, especially for a player who really does get by on passion and vibes - he's not actually that talented, in my opinion.
People over-egg the pudding because he plays well for Scotland, but international football isn't that good. It's slow, it's not as technical.
And the embarrassing thing, for me, is that Manchester United turned down £30million from West Ham.
If I was a West Ham fan, I would be like, 'Wow, we absolutely got away with that', because how Man United ever thought McTominay was worth more than £30m, I don't know.

Apparently Fulham wanted him - I guarantee we won't get anywhere near that if he goes in January or next summer.
He's a bench player at best and with the players we've got coming through like Kobbie Mainoo and Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount, he's going to end up in a very similar position to Harry Maguire where he is reliant on injuries to get game time.
We may have conceded four against Bayern, but it's still progress
Going into the Bayern Munich game - especially after the Brighton game - I very rarely predict United to lose, and I think I said United will lose this game 2-0.
The fear was that it could be a lot more, so I think a 4-3 loss, I would have taken that before - I know that's not something you want to be saying as a United fan.
But the mismatch of the two teams was massive, for me, and you need Bayern Munich to be playing really bad and United to be playing really well just to get a positive result.
I think the scoreline was probably a little bit deceiving in the sense that you could say, 'Well Andre Onana makes a big mistake and Christian Eriksen gives a penalty away, so we could have won 3-2'.
But the truth is, Bayern Munich had a lot of other chances as well, so I think they deserved to win it, but I think United certainly didn't deserve to get smashed like they did against Brighton.
And that's progress when you look at the team we're putting out at the moment, it's been really decimated.
I heard Darren Bent on talkSPORT saying that back four was disgusting from United, and that might well may be the case.
But it's not like we can pick anything else. Jonny Evans was the only other defensive option, so if he's right, or he's wrong, the reality is, that was the choice we had.
We go to Bayern, we lose 4-3, and I feel like the season starts against Burnley really, that's when United have got to start picking up the wins and get some players back and just start building.
Jadon Sancho has been badly advised and will leave United in January
There was this rumour going around on social media that Jadon Sancho was playing the new EA FC game online an hour before the Bayern game.
Whether he's playing a game or he's having a bath, he's got to do something in his spare time, hasn't he?
I think the frustration for me is that he's playing a computer game an hour before United are playing a massive game in Munich and we've got an injury crisis.
That, to me, is the disgusting point. Personally, I'd have kept a low profile, whether he's done it deliberately or not, I wouldn't be making myself a story on social media before such a big game.
And I think that's the problem with Sancho is that the story is driven by him and it's just bad advice.
Ten Hag is the manager and he left you out of the team because he didn't think you trained well against Arsenal, you put a public post out and leave it up for a week, basically undermining the manager, disrespecting the manager, disrespecting yourself, disrespecting the club.
I just think he's really badly advised. I don't think it's going to take long for United fans to just forget about who he is, and he'll be a player who is going to get moved on in the January transfer window.
And that, to me, is the shame. I don't know whether there are games going on here, but my opinion on Sancho is that the victim is himself.
And it's embarrassing for him that he's sat at home playing computer games - he might be like, 'Well I'm on £300,000-a-week '.
But, mate, you're living the dream as a footballer and you're playing computer games we can all play at home, it's embarrassing.
Aaron Ramsdale should be England's No.1, but he's no longer Arsenal's
I think with the Arsenal goalkeeper situation, it's really interesting - I would have Aaron Ramsdale as my England No.1.
But he obviously can't be England's No.1 if he's not playing for Arsenal, and as soon as they were linked to David Raya and it was a serious move, I said, 'That is the end of Ramsdale'.
Because we've seen it with United, although we removed David De Gea to bring Onana in.
Why would Mikel Arteta want to replace Ramsdale unless he sees an issue with that goalkeeper that he wants to improve?
David Raya in my opinion is a better goalkeeper than Ramsdale, so it's not a surprise to me that Arteta would do that.
But what I will say is, I do not believe that rotating goalkeepers or subbing goalkeepers after 65 minutes is a good idea.
Every goalkeeper I've spoken to has always said, 'You want to be a No.1 and you want to know the No.2 is a No.2'.
And you can make a mistake knowing that the manager is going to back you, so what would Arteta do if Raya makes one mistake - Ramsale comes in?
And then Ramsdale makes a mistake and then Raya comes in? I think goalkeepers feed off confidence.
Is it Arteta just being polite to Ramsdale and respectful and actually Raya is the goalkeeper?
Because I would have thought playing against Everton, Ramsdale would play at home against PSV and then Raya would play in the north London derby.
Surely he's not going to throw Ramsdale into the north London derby after Raya having two clean sheets?
I think you've got to have a No.1, and I would be very surprised if Arteta really is going to rotate them that much.
Tottenham have impressed me, but Arsenal will edge the derby
I'm in that fortuitous - or unfortuitous - position where I have seen both of them beat Manchester United this season, so I can speak from a bit of experience.
I think being at home for Arsenal is a huge factor but, as we know, it is a derby and that can be a great leveller in all the cliches.
I think Spurs have just got to be really happy with this season - they're never going to be happy if they get beat by Arsenal, because that will put a pin in any balloon for a Spurs fan.
But they are so much better than last season and they've got so many reasons to be more positive, the football is so much better.
And the loss of Harry Kane is almost a distant memory, so I think Spurs, regardless of the result, have a lot to be excited about this season.
Arsenal haven't started the season as well as last year in relation to free-flowing goalscoring but, on the other hand, they're winning games where it's been a bit of a struggle.
They've gone behind in games, they're winning by one goal, Everton was a tough game at the weekend.
So you could say Arsenal are more workmanlike, and that's always important at the start of the season.
I would edge Arsenal on this, I would say Arsenal will have a little bit more quality than Spurs but, I've got to admit, Spurs are a little bit of the unknown.
We just don't know how good Spurs are, there's always going to be that expectation where Spurs will lose games like this.
I think they've got Liverpool the next week after, but if they can get a win against Arsenal or Liverpool, then that really does put the cat amongst the pigeons on what they could achieve this season.
