It is poised to be a hectic summer transfer window for Manchester United as Erik Ten Hag begins to rebuild his squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Red Devils finished the last campaign in disappointing fashion, winning just three of their final nine matches to end up with their lowest-ever Premier League points tally (58). They missed out on Champions League football in the process and were left in sixth place after their 1-0 final day defeat at Crystal Palace.
This means Europa League football awaits United next season and Ten Hag has a massive task on his hands to steady the ship and take the club back towards the top of the division. The Red Devils have been linked with a number of players and the former Ajax boss is keen to bolster his ranks as soon as possible.

De Jong deal 'close'
Manchester United are 'close' to agreeing a £70million deal with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong but still need to convince him to join the Old Trafford club.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to United with Ten Hag keen to reunite with the midfielder who he worked with at Ajax for two years. The new Red Devils boss wants to add at least two new midfielders and has lined De Jong up to be the attack-minded one in his new-look side.
And according to Sport, a deal is close to being agreed between the two parties for the Netherlands international. Barcelona need to raise funds in order to sign players and are set to allow De Jong to leave the club.
However, De Jong may need some convincing to make the switch to Old Trafford as he is reportedly 'happy' in Catalonia and does not want to depart. The lack of Champions League football could also put him off a move to the Red Devils with De Jong wanting to play in the best European competition.

Wan-Bissaka 'offered' to clubs
Manchester United are prepared to let Aaron Wan-Bissaka leave the club this summer and so much so that they are reportedly 'offering' him to other clubs as an attempt to move him on faster and boost their transfer funds, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Wan-Bissaka has been informed that he is not part of Erik ten Hag's plans next season, who sees Diogo Dalot as his main right-back for now, and the report reveals that the 24-year-old has been offered to 'at least one club'.
His former side, Crystal Palace, have been linked with bringing him back to Selhurst Park and as a result, they may well be the club in question, having initially left the Eagles for a deal rising to £50 million back in 2019.
Mata open to staying in Premier League
Juan Mata is open to staying in the Premier League after leaving Manchester United this summer.
The Spaniard spent eight seasons at the Red Devils but is free to find a new club after his contract expired. It has been reported by the Times that Mata is keen to stay in England with Fulham and Everton linked.
He has also been tipped to return to Spain and the MLS and it is safe to say the 34-year-old is not short of offers given his qualities and attacking ability. Mata scored 51 goals and chipped in with 47 assists in 285 appearances during his stint with the Red Devils.
