Manchester United have been blasted by former player Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a "small club" in his new book set to be released next year.
The Sweden international was left stunned by the way they treated club legend Wayne Rooney, who left with a whimper in 2017.
Both shared a dressing room at Old Trafford briefly in a season they won the Europa League under Jose Mourinho.
But ultimately, with so many goals between them, United failed to impress while both strikers had their futures to think about.
A potentially career-ending injury to Ibrahimovic signalled an early end to his season but the Red Devils renewed his contract and gave him another year.
Rooney was not given the same treatment, however, while his powers had waned from the swashbuckling forward he had been years before.
Nevertheless, the former England international will always be remembered as a legend at Old Trafford - where he left as their all-time top goalscorer.
That includes five Premier League titles, three League Cups, an FA Cup, one Champions League and one Europa League.

But the manner in which he was treated for his departure has irked Ibrahimovic, who lashed out at their "small club mentality".
His new book 'Adrenaline: My Untold Stories' which will be released next year, the striker gave some inside info - as relayed by Sportbladet.
The 40-year-old described the day Rooney left the club was the same one they pulled his nameplate off his locker "as if he never existed".
Now Derby manager, the former striker's departure from United must have rankled though he was allowed to return to his boyhood club Everton on a free transfer.
That would not last long, though, with his spell at Goodison Park ending after just one season.
A move to the MLS would beckon where he became a cult hero with DC United but his career would not end in the United States with a return to England on the cards.
Derby snapped him up where he has moved from the pitch to the dugout but it has not been an easy ride for the new manager.
As for United, they have kept up their tradition of signing top strikers in the latter stages of their careers when they snapped up Edinson Cavani last summer.
The Uruguay international was a great success but has been kept out of the sie this campaign by a certain Cristiano Ronaldo, whose goalscoring antics continue to bamboozle.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner's latest performance saw the Red Devils claim all three points against Arsenal when he scored twice in a 3-2 victory.
