In the past weeks there's been a lot of speculation about where will Luis Suarez land for the upcoming season, while he's game is declining a little bit he's still able to make an impact for a squad this year before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Suarez had recently hinted that a potential reunion with his deared friend Lionel Messi to play for Beckham's MLS club Inter Miami sounded really appealing to him.
But know he seems to think this possibility has evaporated, at least for the foreseeable future, as his most recent response isn't as optimistic as it once was.
"Play with Messi at Inter Miami? That is not real. Many things are said. We players cannot go out 24 hours a day to deny what they say. We let them talk; we let them say. Leo has his future in Paris. Then I don't know where he will want to retire," Suarez replied.
Succesful partnership
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were part of one of the most lethal attacks in the world during there play for FC Barcelona, that translated in hundreds of goals scored for the team.
Since the Uruguayan arrived at Camp Nou, during their first six seasons together they managed to combine for 854 goals, with one of the two participating in 70% of Barcelona's goal during that time.
Where will Suarez play next season?
After shutting the door to signing with River Plate from Argentina, Luis Suarez is still uncertain about his future just four months away from the world cup.
He's also been linked to a move back to the Premier League, specifically to play for Aston Villa, where he would reunite with his former teammate and current club manager Steven Gerrard.
During his time playing at Liverpool, Suarez managed to score 82 goals en 133 games played, while managing to win a golden boot as well.
