They were denied a seventh European Cup after a stunning performance by Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, in a game the Reds dominated.
Ex-Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen was the first after the game to claim that the Merseysiders are the top team on the continent, despite the 1-0 defeat in Paris.
"I still believe that they are the best team in Europe," Owen said.
"Just because you win the trophy, there's a lot more to be said for who's the best team. Liverpool are still the team to beat."
His comments were rejected by Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand who said the claim was 'disrespectful' given Real beat the Premier League's top three this season on their way to glory.
But Jordan agrees with Owen, stating that teams 'can be better, yet still lose'.
"In my view, and I support Michael, I think Liverpool are the best team in Europe," Jordan told talkSPORT.
"I think they're feral, I think they're electric, I think they're almost undeniable."
When asked if they are a better team than Real Madrid, he added: "I think they are. I think that Liverpool are a better side than Real Madrid.
"I don't care about individual games. Chelsea beat Barcelona in a semi-final of the Champions League when it was universally accepted that Barcelona were a better side.
"But Chelsea came out because of an indomitable spirit, they banked up and they stopped Barcelona and Messi from breaking them down.
"We're talking about how people can be better, yet still lose. People will look back in history and say Muhammad Ali was a better fighter than Joe Frazier, yet he lost to Joe Frazier.
"I think Liverpool, as a sum of all its component parts from every aspect, from the goalkeeper through to their centre-forward, are a better side.
"They're more aggressive, they're easier on the eye, they're more feral.
"To me, there's something about Liverpool - not just because they're an English club because I'm no fan of Liverpool Football Club besides their achievements - and I believe in my mind's eye they are a better team than Real Madrid."
