Liverpool Premier League fixtures in full as Reds get ideal start to title bid

Liverpool will feel they have been handed a kind start to the new Premier League season following the announcement of their fixtures for the upcoming campaign.

The Reds start 2022-23 with a trip to newly promoted Fulham in what will be a 12.30pm kick-off on the first Saturday of the season, with Crystal Palace the first visitors to Anfield the following weekend.

Jurgen Klopp's side then head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in the third week of the campaign, but that clash is the only one against a side in last season's top six that the Reds face in their first seven games.

Liverpool play Chelsea away in mid-September, with the first clash against likely title rivals Manchester City coming at Anfield on the weekend of October 15. The teams meet again in Manchester on the weekend of April 1.

The Merseyside derbies against Everton come on the weekends of September 3 at Goodison Park and February 11 at Anfield, with Manchester United coming to Merseyside in early March.

Klopp's side will then face a run-in that includes just two games against last season's top six, with the campaign finishing away at Southampton on May 28.

The campaign will halt for the Qatar World Cup in mid-November, with Liverpool's final game before the tournament coming at home to Southampton on the weekend of November 12, before they return to league action against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

The fourth round of the League Cup, which the Reds won last season, will be played in the days before that, with the third round in early November and the Champions League group stages running from the weeks of September 6-7 to November 1-2.

As it stands, the Reds will play three home games and three away in the days following Champions League group matches, with tricky trips to Chelsea and Tottenham included.
