Former French star Lilian Thuram, who was part of their 1998 winning squad, will now see his son Marcus continue the family legacy on the global stage.

France announced their squad for the upcoming tournament in Qatar last week, although only named 25 players as opposed to the standard number of 26.
The likes of Kylian Mbappe, Raphael Varane and Hugo Lloris will all feature for Les Bleus as the reigning champions target lifting their third ever title.
With the squad now preparing to travel to the tournament, which kicks-off on Sunday with Qatar versus Ecuador, Thuram has been rewarded with a late call-up to the squad.

The 25-year-old has only made four appearances for the national team throughout his career so far, but his form for German side Borussia Monchengladbach has earned him a spot in Didier Deschamps' squad.
He has netted 13 goals in 17 games this season, which is more than recent Ballon d'Or winner Benzema has amounted so far.
Marcus will be hoping to add a second winner's medal to the Thuram family's cabinet, although he will play up front as opposed to in his father's old position in defence.

The forward's inclusion is one of two late changes to the squad, with Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Presnel Kimpembe being replaced by Monaco's Axel Disasi.

They will kick-off their tournament against Australia, before facing Denmark and Tunisia in Group D.
