Notorious was furious after seeing Brad Katona outpoint Carlos Vera over two rounds to score a unanimous decision win for Chandler's team on the latest series of The Ultimate Fighter.
However it's now been revealed that McGregor laid hands on Chandler during the furious exchange in the octagon.
After being shoved, Chandler let out an antagonist laugh while McGregor took off his jacket as the pair appeared set to fight it out there and then.
However Dana White and Chandler's team intervened and whisked the three-time Bellator champion away.
This came after McGregor ranted at the judges during the fight between Katona and Vera, before taking aim at the cageside judges when a tiebreaker third round was not ordered.
