Ian Maatsen signs new Chelsea deal, joins Dortmund on loan
"Borussia Dortmund tried hard to find me. I've been following BVB and its fans for a long time and was even at the Champions League game in Manchester in autumn 2022 to see the team live on the pitch," he told the Dortmund website.
"I'm very happy that it's now the loan worked out. I promise that I will give everything for the team's success and I'm really looking forward to the Yellow Wall."

Wigan sign Luke Chambers on loan from Liverpool
"I'm over the moon to sign here. It's such a historic club with a lot of great players here, and I've come here to help the team win games and get as far as we can in the league," he told the club website.
"I came to watch a few of the games - I thought the style of play was good, and I feel like I fit right in. The Club has a great following also, which makes it intriguing.
"It's about getting experience now. I had a little snippet of first-team football back in January, so it's about building on that and looking to push my career. I can't wait to get going, show the fans what I can do and hit the ground running."
Manager Shaun Maloney added: "I'm really happy to get Luke through the door. He's the perfect profile for that left-back position; he can play in a three as a centre-back or as a full-back, he brings lots of technical quality, and he's good physically.
"We need competition. We've relied very heavily on Sean Clare and Steven Sessegnon, and now we've got Luke Robinson back, so it gives Tom Pearce time to get back to his best, but overall, I think Luke's got a lot of talent, and I'm really happy to have him here."

Conor Coventry joins Charlton from West Ham
"The vision of the gaffer and the people behind the scenes with where they want to take the club," Coventry told the Charlton website when asked why he joined.
"I'm from London so I know what this club means to people and the size of it. I'm really looking forward to buying into what is going on here and being a part of it."
Manager Michael Appleton added: "I'm delighted we've been able to sign Conor. He's someone that quite a few years ago I took on his very first loan at Lincoln. To be able to be reunited with him on a permanent deal I'm delighted with.
"He's very, very comfortable on the ball and knows his position really well. He's a good passer of the ball, with good technique, and he's got a steeliness to him as well which I like - a bit of nastiness to him. He's one who lives his life right and is a proper professional."
Charlton Technical director Andy Scott also commented on the transfer, saying: "We're really pleased to secure the signing of Conor. He's a player we've been chasing for a long time.
"We've beaten off a number of competitors, not only in League One, but in the Championship as well. He's shown how committed he is to Charlton and what we want to achieve here. It's an exciting signing for the club and I'm sure the fans will enjoy watching him on the pitch."
