Kylian Mbappe's affectionate gesture to Cristiano that he's never made with Messi

Paris Saint-Germain travelled to Saudi Arabia where they faced a Riyad All-Star XI that included new Al-Nassr signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

Christophe Galtier fielded a strong line-up, with his attacking trident of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi featuring upfront for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

There was one gesture by the France international that caught the attention of the spectators and went viral on social media after the game.

Ronaldo was accidentally punched in the face by former teammate Keylor Navas in the box, with the referee awarding a penalty, one which was converted by the Portuguese star.

Mbappe approached his idol to check on him, with Ronaldo showing the blow he had received on the cheek. The Frenchman was spotted smiling and touching Ronaldo's cheek, demonstrating his affection for the former Manchester United forward.

There was a connection there, something that has not happened with Messi since he joined PSG from Barcelona.

It has to be noted that Messi led Argentina to a 2022 World Cup final win over Mbappe's France back in December.
