Kroos says Hazard let his career 'die' at Real Madrid in warning to Bellingham

The former Chelsea star sealed a dream move to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019 after a stunning spell at the Blues.

He was arguably one of the best players in world football at the time, but various injuries blighted his Real Madrid career.

Hazard scored just seven goals in four seasons for the club and has now left the club a year before his deal was due to expire.

On Wednesday it was announced the Jude Bellingham has signed for Madrid in a deal that could rise to £115million.

The 19-year-old has shined early on in his career so far and is expected to elevate his game even further.

However, he is currently recovering from a knee injury, and his soon-to-be teammate Kroos has issued a warning amid Hazard's woes.

Speaking on his podcast, he said: "We had another player who came for a lot of money and basically let his career die.

"It was a lot of money, I think everyone would say that wasn't a good transfer. But let's be positive."

Bellingham's meteoric rise in world football has now been rewarded with a stunning move to the giants of European football.
