Following four years at German side Hoffenheim, Joelinton signed for the Magpies in 2019 for a then club record fee of £40million.
The Brazilian international has since become a fan favourite at St. James' Park given his immense efforts for the side.
Joelinton was part of a Newcastle squad last season that finished 4th in the Premier League, which secured Champions League football,
Fans have not been shy to show their love for the 27-year-old and he feels it's crucial for the feelings to be mutual.

Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, he said: "I think it's important for everyone that the players feel the love of the fans and they feel our love as well.
"Spend time with them, show how we love the club as well, this is very important and I'm very pleased to be here."
During their pre-season tour in the United States, Joelinton took the time to get involved with fans at an elementary school in New Jersey.
He was spotted having a kick-about with young supporters, and these appearances can certainly strengthen such a bond.

"I just try to enjoy the moment and make them happy as well," he added when asked about playing football with fans.
Joelinton arrived at Newcastle as a striker but scored just four goals in 44 appearances in his debut season.
Eddie Howe's arrival as boss in November 2021 saw him unusually shift into midfield, but it's a decision that has paid off massively.
"I think the change of position helped me show my qualities as a player," said the 27-year-old.
"I think the team grow as well, many players are playing better because we have a very good coach, a great coach, a great guy who helps us everyday to try and improve us. I'm very happy to be in midfield now."
Joelinton starred in Newcastle's 5-1 win against Aston Villa on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.
Next up is a test against reigning champions City who cruised to a 3-0 win over Burnley last Friday.
"Everyone knows the quality of City, they have the title from last season," said Joelinton on the newly crowned Super Cup winners.
