Raphinha is finally set to get his move away from Leeds United and it is Barcelona who have overcome the competition to acquire his services.
The Brazilian is certainly a deeply talented player who can get away from defenders with ease, while he also has extraordinary vision and is daring when it comes to finding his teammates in the best positions.
That is why Barcelona have been bidding so hard for him and why they wanted Raphinha, no matter what, for next season.
The overall deal for the player is likely to work out at 55 million euros plus add-ons.
Where will Raphinha play at Barcelona?
It seems that he is going to be battling with Ousmane Dembele for the right wing spot, because the Frenchman is set to sign a new contract.
Comparing the two, Raphinha certainly beats Dembele for availability, as he played 35 of Leeds United's 38 Premier League games last season.
He is also ahead of Dembele for the majority of attacking statistics, but the only area he struggles in is passes completed.
It should be said, though, that Leeds were in a relegation battle and didn't always play a possession-based game.
Raphinha completed 108 successful dribbles in the Premier League last season, which was the eighth best in the entire division.
He is also in eighth place for the most dribbles attempted, having tried to carry his team forward and beat a defender 213 times.
The Brazilian seems to have much more of a goal threat than Dembele, with 10 compared to just one in the league, and there is no denying that he will work hard on the pitch and be reliable for the team.
Dembele is better at creating chances, though. He was the top assist man in LaLiga Santander last season despite missing half of the campaign.
