'I take my suitcase' - Champions League coach ready to quit without compensation

The pressure on the 50-year-old's shoulders continued to mount following Milan's 2-1 loss to Bologna on Thursday.

It was Conceicao's fifth loss from 16 games across all competitions since taking over at the Italian giants.

And the intensity appeared to take its toll as he launched a passionate outburst in the wake of the Bologna defeat.

"Every day, people talk about my situation and it's not fair," Conceicao said.

"I know what I want, I know what I can do, I see a lot of people talking about me but the situation is simple.

"If I have to leave, they tell me, 'You're no longer needed', I take my suitcase and leave without asking for a single Euro more.

"I don't come from nowhere. I have almost 100 games in the Champions League, I have won 13 trophies, but every day, they like to talk about me.

"Coaches criticise me on match day. I have a family, I have people close to me and they see a lot of bad things about me and it's not fair.

"Sorry for the outburst."

The Bologna defeat was Milan's second in a row after they were beaten by the same scoreline against Torino last Saturday.

The consecutive defeats left Milan eighth in the Serie A table and eight points off the top four.

Conceicao also oversaw Milan's grim exit from the Champions League as they were beaten 2-1 on aggregate by Dutch outfit Feyenoord in their round of 16 play-off tie.

Aside from the run of poor results, Conceicao hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in January when he confronted club captain Davide Calabria following a 3-2 win over Parma.

Conceicao's side scored two goals in second-half stoppage time to secure three points, but it didn't stop him from tearing into Calabria.

The 50-year-old pointed and shouted at the Italian as both men had to be dragged away from each other.

However, the pair later confirmed they had patched up their differences following the startling altercation.

The recent run of results is also not what Conceicao would have anticipated given he led the club to a trophy in just the second match of his tenure.

A dramatic late winner from Tammy Abraham helped Milan come back from 2-0 down to beat bitter rivals Inter Milan 3-2 in the Supercoppa Italiana final.

Although Abraham was the hero on the pitch, Conceicao generated plenty of buzz for his antics in the dressing room after the contest.

The 50-year-old was captured puffing on a cigar and showing off his dance moves as Milan's players and staff roared him on.

Conceicao was brought in after the Rossoneri axed Paulo Fonseca just 24 games into his stint at the San Siro.

Should Milan's results continue to trend downward, Conceicao's tenure could be even shorter than his predecessor.
