The prominent West Ham fan and actor was speaking exclusively to talkSPORT's Drive show and unleashed a very unexpected critique of talkSPORT pundit Jordan.
And the 44-year-old did not mince his words, branding him an 'angry man' after Jordan savaged Dyer first by calling out his footballing skills.
He told talkSPORT: "It is interesting with Simon because a couple of people sent me this thing where he dug me out. I don't know why.
"I don't know what's the matter with him, he said I am the worst football player that God has ever put breath into or something.

"He went on to tell this story on how I played for his team once in Soccer Six and I thought, 'well, I've never met you'. So that is interesting.
"Then he went on to call me the poor man's Ray Winstone, which I'll take. So I am a bit confused with him really.
"He has said some stuff which I quite agree with but I don't like snobs. And he is the worst kind of snob because he has forgotten where he came from.
"He is an angry man with long words. He loves a little hankie in his pocket. One of them nuts!

"It is a shame really because I love the man but he is a very angry man."
Dyer was in high spirits, though, having watched his beloved West Ham win the Europa Conference League trophy on Wednesday night.
Jarrod Bowen scored a dramatic winner in the 90th minute against Fiorentina in Prague that saw the Hammers win their first European trophy since 1965.
The forward is famously dating Dyer's daughter Dani, who has just had twins with the West Ham star.
And the former Eastenders star admitted that he is absolutely in love with the 26-year-old, perhaps divulging a little bit too much information.
"I just didn't think I could love a man any more," Dyer said.
"It's always a weird thing because it's your daughter, they fall in love with people you don't usually like but she brought home Jarrod Bowen.
"I think I love Jarrod more than anyone, more than me own wife! I'm a bit jealous of my daughter...
"I couldn't have written a better script. It was a tricky game, we went 1-0 up and that was amazing.

"Of course, they nicked that nutty little goal, the geezer had three touches and it's in the net and I thought, 'Oh, here we go.' I'm a West Ham fan, I'm used to heartbreak.
"But then in the 90th minute... I sobbed me heart out."
