City sealed their fourth league crown in the last five years as they pipped Liverpool to the post thanks to an incredible comeback victory over Aston Villa.
Spirits were understandably high at the Etihad at the end of the match as City celebrated their sixth Premier League crown.
But for Zinchenko it was also a time for reflection on what's been a truly harrowing year for him on a personal level amid Ukraine's ongoing war with Russia.
Zinchenko told Sky Sports: "It's unforgettable emotions for me.
"For all Ukrainians, who at the moment are all starving, they are surviving in my country because of Russian aggression.
"I'm so proud to be Ukrainian and I would love to one day bring this title to Ukraine, for all the Ukrainian people because they deserve it."
He added: "Honestly at some points, especially in the beginning, I didn't even think about football too much because it's impossible to live in the same time with what's happening in my country.
"But with all the support that I had, in the past and during this period, we did it!"
Zinchenko also took the time to thank his teammates and Man City fans for the support they showed him all season.
He said: "It means everything to me. I want to die for these people, all these supporters because what they gave to me during this tough period in my life, I'm so appreciative.
"I will never forget this, never."
