Henderson pokes fun at Liverpool team-mate Robertson for 'having nothing on'

It's all smiles in the Liverpool camp at the moment.

After five games of the Premier League season, the Reds are unbeaten with four wins and level on points with leaders Chelsea.

Add a dramatic Champions League victory against AC Milan and it could scarcely have gone better for Jurgen Klopp's men.

And shortly after their thumping 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, skipper Jordan Henderson was quick to poke fun at his Reds team-mate Andy Robertson for his unusual choice of swimming attire.

The Scotland international was pictured on Henderson's Instagram story in a flesh coloured pair of swimming trunks.

Henderson filmed Robertson coming out of the pool, with the caption: "Not fancy wearing slips?".

As Robertson emerged from the water, Henderson can be heard saying: "Looks like you've got nothing on there lad!"

The full-back saw the funny side of it though, flexing at the camera and saying "yeah".

Henderson's story came hours after the win over Palace, where goals from Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita earned them a victory over Patrick Vieira's Palace.

Against the Eagles, Henderson captained the club for the 200th time since being handed the armband ahead of the 2015-16 season.

But despite the relatively comfortable victory according to the final score, Klopp was fully aware of the challenges his side faced.

"It is one of the most hard-fought 3-0s ever," he told BBC Sport. "We had to give everything. Hard but fair challenges.

"Physicality was immense and we had to be ready. The chips in behind our full-back gave us trouble. The longer it went they used that more and more. We had to run.

"Wednesday/Saturday rhythm is really hard," Klopp added. "We scored wonderful goals and used our set-pieces. It is massive in games like this. These are the games you have to win, when you are not brilliant.

Jordan Henderson was quick to aim a dig at his Liverpool team-mate Andy Robertson

"We weren't flying today. We had to grind out a proper performance. I liked it.

"When you look back you have these games when it was really fun. This is one of those important games.

There was one negative for Liverpool however, with Thiago Alcantara hobbling out of the game in the second half.

"The only little bit that overshadowed [the game] was Thiago, but we hope it is not serious," Klopp continued. "He felt his calf and now we hope really it is not that serious."
