Harry Kane makes bold trophy claim as he eyes titles with Bayern Munich

The England captain also believes he has yet to reach his peak even at 31-years-old.

Kane missed out on silverware during his first season with Bayern Munich last term.

His side were beaten in the German Super Cup final before missing out on the Bundesliga title to unbeaten champions Bayer Leverkusen.

However, Kane believes trophies will come before he hangs up his boots.

Asked about his lack of silverware, the former Tottenham striker told France Football: "I hear this question very often, as you can imagine.

"It is true, for the moment I have won individual awards as top scorer or best player.

"But I start each season with the aim of winning collective trophies and I am not satisfied with being distinguished only on an individual level.

"Now, I will tell you, I am only 31 years old. At one time, at that age it was starting to be the end.

"Today, the way things are going is that we almost reach our prime at 30. And I think that the best Harry Kane is yet to come. I am very confident about that.

"And very confident about the fact that my second part of my career, the one that is opening now, will be rich in major trophies.

"And when I hang up my boots, it will no longer be an issue."

As well as last season's Super Cup defeat, Kane was also on the losing side in the final of Euro 2024.

England's defeat to Spain in the summer was his sixth final defeat and second with the Three Lions at the Euros.

Despite that, Kane remains 'proud' of what he has achieved in his career.

The forward added: "I am extremely proud of what I have achieved in my career so far, but I also know that, of course, I want to have trophies to show for it.

"I feel like I'm in a real peak in my career and, hopefully, for the next four or five years especially that will be the case. So there's going to be opportunities, starting this summer and then again next year with Bayern Munich.

"So I think the most important thing for me is that I don't lose motivation and I keep trying to push myself and push the people around me."

Kane's trophy drought could finally come to an end this season.

Bayern are currently four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga following their win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.

The only goal of the game came from the penalty spot courtesy of Kane.

It takes his tally for the season to 21 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions, along with nine assists for his team-mates.
