Guardiola says El Classico build-up is 'more noisy' than Manchester derby

The Man City boss is preparing for a crunch clash with Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, a contest that is bound to get fans' pulses racing.

Supporters across the globe love nothing more than getting one over on their rivals, and the week ahead of games is full of debate.

But while Guardiola is confident that the City fans will be able to draw a good performance out of his team, he did suggest that preparations for derby clashes are easier in England than they were in Spain when leading Barcelona against fierce rivals, Real Madrid.

Speaking in his press conference, Guardiola said: "Go to the stadium and it's important we feel pressure from them.

"Demand the best. We need it, I want them to be active. It's not just a football game. We need to demand the best of ourselves.

"The stadium will be full, the supporters behind us - they know we'll do our best.

"In Spain, Barcelona and Real Madrid, it is more noisy in the days before - more media, everything.

"The rest, in Germany, and here, you can work.

'We cannot be lazy. You need to express emotions and feelings, important.

"Here [in the head] is the decisions before you act. Be calm and take the right decisions to be calm.'
