The Atletico Madrid and France forward loves the game and is so good, he coached Newcastle to unparalleled success - before they even had a billionaire backing.

Eddie Howe is the man tasked with bringing glory to the north east of England in real life, but he will have a tough time replicating the success of Griezmann.

Like The Simpsons and every big event in history, Griezmann seemingly predicted the Toon takeover last summer and played it out on Football Manager.

After signing Kylian Mbappe for €134million, Griezmann's Newcastle won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Community Shield and the Super Cup by 2027.

Amanda Staveley, the businesswoman behind the takeover, said she expects Newcastle to win the title within five to ten years. Well, Griezmann's CV speaks for itself.

In actual real life, the forward suggested the idea of Newcastle to Mbappe, his France teammate, who didn't seem overly keen.

Giving a rather perplexed look, the forward simply replied: "Newcastle, where? It's not very warm there, eh?"

However, like all great managers, Griezmann is determined.

After news of the takeover was announced earlier this season, the Frenchman posted an image of him and Mbappe holding up a Newcastle shirt on Instagram.

With the right backing, maybe Howe can be the man to put smiles on Geordie faces.
