Greggs troll Kylian Mbappe after struggles at St James' Park against Newcastle

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has been in Newcastle for the Champions League clash at St James' Park.

Unfortunately for the French superstar, it was a trip that didn't go to plan with Eddie Howe's side coming away as 4-1 victors.

While Mbappe was the star attraction on the night, the forward endured a torrid evening after putting in a largely anonymous display as the home side took control.

Newcastle fans reveled in his ineffective performance, with one fan taking to social media to say: "This fella was just thinking about Greggs steak bakes all night.

"Right there, he was caught licking his lips thinking of his next one."

Never one to miss a beat, the official Greggs X account shared the fan's post with reference to the final score, commenting: "He's welcome to come 4-1 this morning..."

Greggs weren't the only brand to troll Mbappe either, with notoriously savage French newspaper L'Equipe describing PSG as 'pathetic', a 'disgrace' and a 'waste of space'.

They even handed Mbappe a rating of 2 out of 10.

The World Cup winning forward barely got a sniff, with L'Equipe's damning assessment saying he 'barely had a role' and 'did not offer any solutions'.
