Cristiano Ronaldo asked to depart Manchester United in his bid to play Champions League football this season, but no club has made a move to sign the Portuguese star yet.
There have been many reports about his future, though, and the Manchester United forward is fed up with the whole situation, so he took to Instagram to express his frustration against the media.
"They will know the truth when I give an interview in a few weeks' time," Ronaldo wrote.
"The media are telling lies. I have a notebook and, in the last few months, out of the 100 stories I have written down, only five were correct.
"Imagine how things are. Keep that advice."
Gary Neville's response to Cristiano Ronaldo
Meanwhile, Manchester United legend Gary Neville didn't hesitate to respond to Ronaldo's post, urging the Portugal international to reveal the truth sooner than he promised.
"Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth?" Neville wrote.
"Stand up now and speak. The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He's the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck."
Tense situation at Manchester United
As the BBC has reported, there are those within the club who blame Ronaldo for Manchester United's ongoing issues.
The Red Devils sit bottom of the Premier League table with no points after two games. Meanwhile, Ronaldo's future is still up in the air.
