The Cottagers signed Stansfield from his boyhood club Exeter City in 2020, before they loaned him back to the Grecians for the 2022-23 season.
Stansfield then joined Birmingham City for the 2023-24 campaign, making a positive impact despite the club's relegation from the Championship.
The 21-year-old netted 12 goals in 43 Championship appearances to finish the season as Birmingham's top scorer.
Stansfield is now back at Fulham and returned to haunt his former loan club in Tuesday's EFL Cup clash, scoring his first goal of the season to condemn Birmingham to a 2-0 defeat.
Birmingham fail with Stansfield bid
The League One side do not hold any hard feelings over Stansfield's performance because they are keen to bring the striker back to St Andrews before the transfer deadline.
According to Sky Sports News, Fulham have turned down a record-breaking transfer offer from Birmingham for Stansfield.
The report claims that the bid would have seen Birmingham smash the League One transfer record - something they have already achieved on two occasions this summer.
Although they have suffered a setback, Birmingham remain in talks with Fulham as they look to strike a deal before the 11pm deadline.
However, Fulham may be reluctant to sanction a departure, with Stansfield regarded as one of Silva's three forward options alongside Rodrigo Muniz and Raul Jimenez.
