The road was filled with smoke from the flares that were being thrown by the Frankfurt supporters.
Chairs, that came from nearby businesses, are also being thrown towards the riot police who could only help but retreat.
A police van positioned in the middle of the road had to turn away from the danger as it was approached by a sea of Frankfurt fans.
It was slowly able to get away from the onslaught, but the vehicle took a battering from chairs and other objects.
