And he had two very high profile cheerleaders watching him from the director's box, in the club's Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - and on non-league day, no less.

Don't get too carried away, though, Ben - you may be Wrexham's highest-profile signing, but the Canadian and American actors weren't actually in town to watch you.
Deadpool and that guy from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are over from the States to throw their support behind Wrexham Women.

The Women's team are set to play in front of a record crowd for a domestic women's football match in Wales on Sunday when they take on Connah's Quay Nomads, with over 8,000 tickets sold - smashing the previous record of 5,175.
It will be a celebration of the team's success this season, with Wrexham Women set to lift the Genero Adran North trophy having already clinched the title.

But, first up, the men's side took on York City looking to maintain their lead at the top of the National League, with former England international Foster starting between the sticks.

And it couldn't have gone any better, with Wrexham securing a 3-0 win to maintain their three-point lead over rivals Notts County, while also reaching 100 goals scored in the league this season.

Foster told Wrexham's YouTube channel after not conceding: "No, doddle mate. 3-0, clean sheet, bosh. Just met Ryan Reynolds in the tunnel. Don't get much better than that. Going out for a lovely dinner tonight, lovely Saturday that."
