The 27-year-old has been a free agent ever since leaving Turkish second division side Adanaspor last year.
Ibe did in fact make 58 appearances during his time with Liverpool, before leaving in a £15million deal to Bournemouth in 2016.
Having had loan spells at Birmingham and Derby, he joined the Rams permanently, but failed to hit the ground running at Pride Park.
Now moving to National League side Chesterfield, the winger was pictured with new signing Will Grigg on their Portugal training camp.
Fans have weighed in on his latest appearance and believe it is a great move for for him.

One fan said: "He was unreal when on loan at Derby, think he was struggling with mental health the last few years and it has halted his career. I hope he manages to get a full season in, thought he'd end up playing in the Prem. Hope he does well."
A second wrote: "So desperately wanted it to work out for Jordon when he returned to Derby. He's a player I genuinely feel for, really hope he finds his feet again and Chesterfield could be a great opportunity for him to flourish. He has such talent."

Ibe previously revealed he was suffering with depression and took to Instagram back in 2021.
On an Instagram Story, Ibe wrote: "I want to apologise to all my fans around the world.
"I've find [sic] myself in a dark place, due to suffering with depression.
"It's no scheme for the media or to have my name in your mouths, I just find things hard truly.
"I appreciate all the love and messages from everyone.
"Times are hard in general due to this pandemic. I have the full support from my family and Derby County Football Club.
"I will fix myself and this situation, which I'm 100 per cent committed to. Not only for my family, close friend or my daughter but for me."
